Puja Sen (She/Her)

Field Officer, Sales

"Godrej treated me like a professional from the beginning. No one asked unnecessary questions. In fact, they made space for my comeback."

When Puja joined Godrej, it marked a return not only to her work;, but also, to her sense of purpose.

Puja had to take a break from her career due to an unexpected medical condition a cyst on her vocal cords. For nine months, She could not speak, could not express how she felt, and could not continue with her job. More than anything, she felt isolated.

"I was mentally devastated," she says of that time. "Professionally, I was doing nothing. Personally, I felt broken. I cried every day. I could not even answer a simple phone call. I had no words to say I was fine."

After months of therapy, she slowly began to speak again. Word by word, sentence by sentence, she built her voice back. When she was ready, she got a call from Godrej. That call gave her a chance to be back at what she loved doing the most.

"When I joined Godrej, I was not judged for taking a break. I told them the truth, and they respected it. They saw my capability and my potential."

Today, Pooja thrives in sales at GCPL, where she regularly works with distributors on field. There are disagreements. There are arguments. But crucially, there is also mutual respect. All differences are resolved over a cup of chai, sharing of food, and a sense of moving forward.

Puja finds strength in the culture of support around her. "Godrej treated me like a professional from the beginning. No one asked unnecessary questions. In fact, they made space for my comeback."

That’s why for her, her work is not just a job; It is a place that allowed her to begin again. A place that chose to believe in her voice even when she was just learning to use it again.
